Trade-priced curtain fabric shipped direct from our PJ warehouse to Melaka. Heritage boutique hotels, seaside resorts, modern condos — we stock the right cloth for every build.
Melaka is not like other Malaysian states. The building stock here runs from 16th-century Peranakan shophouses on Jalan Hang Jebat to brand-new serviced apartments in Kota Laksamana — and curtain fabric that works for one rarely suits the other. We have been shipping linen curtain fabric, sheers, and blackout material from our Jalan Klang Lama warehouse to Melaka jobsites since the early 2000s, and by now our sales team knows the local market cold.
Most curtain fabric suppliers won't tell you this, but supplying Melaka is actually simpler than supplying KL. Fewer traffic delays. The state is compact. And your tukang jahit can collect from any courier depot in Melaka Tengah within the same afternoon.
Here is how it works.
You WhatsApp us your project specs — measurements, fabric type, colour preference. We confirm stock, quote you trade pricing (typically RM8–15 per metre for sheers, RM18–45 per metre for velvet and jacquard), and ship within 24 hours of payment. Delivery to Melaka addresses takes 2–3 working days by lorry or courier. Urgent? Next-day is possible if stock is ready and you confirm by noon.
Melaka's UNESCO zone has driven a boom in boutique hotel conversions. Shophouses along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, guesthouses near Jonker Street, heritage-wing extensions at the larger resorts on Jalan Syed Abdul Aziz — they all need curtain cloth that looks the part without violating fire codes.
For heritage hospitality projects, we recommend our heavy linen weaves in the 240–320gsm range. They drape well on tall colonial windows (many of these shophouses have 3.6-metre ceiling heights) and the natural fibre texture fits the conservation aesthetic. We carry them in 118-inch width, so there is minimal seaming even on oversized window bays.
Fire retardancy matters here. Any hotel or public accommodation in Malaysia needs BS 5867-compliant fabric. All our commercial-grade curtain material ships with the FR test certificate. No chasing paperwork after the fact.
One tip: heritage building windows are almost never standard sizes. Measure twice. And bring your own tukang jahit rather than relying on KL-based contractors who mark up the travel time. We can recommend Melaka-based seamstresses who are used to working with our fabric weights.
The Hatten City, Harbour City, and Kota Laksamana developments have pushed hundreds of new condo units onto the Melaka market. Interior designers fitting out these apartments need curtain fabric in volume — and they need it at prices that leave room in the client's budget for the rest of the soft furnishings.
Our wholesale curtain fabric pricing is structured for exactly this. Buy 50 metres or more and you get pembekal rates, not retail. A typical 3-bedroom condo needs roughly 38–45 metres of curtain cloth, depending on window count and whether you're doing sheer plus blackout layering. So a single unit almost hits the MOQ on its own.
But here is where it gets practical. If you are fitting out a whole floor — say, 8 to 12 units in a developer handover batch — we can do a single consolidated shipment. One delivery, one invoice, and we will pre-cut to your measurement schedule so your seamstress team can start sewing the day the fabric arrives.
For Melaka condos with sea-facing windows (Straits-view units in The Shore, for example), we strongly suggest blackout curtain fabric at minimum 280gsm with a 3-pass coating. The afternoon sun off the strait is brutal, and cheap 180gsm blackout will fade within 18 months. Spend the extra RM3–5 per metre now.
Three standard widths cover 95% of Melaka projects:
We currently stock roughly 287 colour options across our sheer, semi-sheer, and opaque ranges. Not every colour is available in every width — check with us before committing to a specific shade for large-volume orders.
Our warehouse sits at Lot 1509, Batu 8, Jalan Klang Lama in Taman Desaria, Petaling Jaya. It is about 148km to Melaka Tengah via the PLUS highway — a straight run, no complicated last-mile routing.
Standard schedule:
During peak seasons — before Hari Raya, CNY, and the November/December hotel refurbishment window — lead times stretch by 1–2 days. Stock runs low before Raya especially. If your Melaka project has a hard deadline, order early. We have seen container delays from Chinese ports add 3–4 weeks to restock timelines, so do not assume popular fabrics will always be on the shelf.
For KL-based interior designers working on Melaka projects, you can also arrange self-collection from our PJ showroom. Come in, go through the sample books, pick your fabric, load it up. No delivery charge. Some designers prefer this — they get to feel the hand of the cloth before committing 200 metres of it to a hotel fit-out.
We supply on 30-day credit to established trade accounts. New customers start with cash-on-order, which we convert to credit terms after the third order. For Melaka-based kedai kain and curtain shops looking to carry our fabric as regular stock, we offer consignment arrangements on selected sheer and blackout ranges — talk to our trade desk about this.
Cutting charges apply below the minimum cut length (per bidang). Standard cutting charge is RM5 per cut for orders under 5 metres of a single fabric. Above that, no cutting fee.
Trade pricing, real stock, and no-nonsense delivery to your Melaka jobsite.
