Our curtain fabric showroom sits right along Jalan Klang Lama at Batu 8, in the heart of Taman Desaria. Been here for years. If you've driven past the Petronas station heading towards Puchong, you've likely seen our signboard without realising it.
This is where everything happens. Roughly 1,800 SKUs of curtain fabric live on these racks — blackout, dimout, sheer, semi-sheer, linen, velvet, jacquard, embroidery panels. All touchable. All draped on sample hangers so you see how the fabric actually falls, not just how it looks flat on a screen.
That matters more than people think.
A 240gsm dimout fabric and a 180gsm dimout fabric look almost identical in photos. But hold them up to a window and the difference is obvious. One blocks 85% of light, the other maybe 70%. You won't know from a WhatsApp photo. You need to stand in front of it, pull the fabric across the light, and see for yourself. That's exactly what our PJ showroom is for.
From the Federal Highway, exit at Batu 8 and turn onto Jalan Klang Lama heading towards Old Klang Road. We're on the left side about 400 metres past the traffic lights at Taman Desaria. If you hit the Shell station, you've gone too far — U-turn and come back.
Parking is free. We have 7 spots directly in front of the shop, and there's additional roadside parking along the service road. Saturday mornings can get tight because of the pasar pagi nearby, so come slightly later if you're visiting on weekends.
For those coming from Shah Alam, take the NKVE and exit at Subang. It's about 18 minutes without traffic. From KL city centre, Jalan Klang Lama is a straight shot — 25 minutes on a good day, 45 if you're unlucky with the Kuchai Lama stretch.
We organise by fabric type first, then by colour family. Most suppliers in PJ jumble everything together. We don't do that. The blackout section is separate from the sheers, the linens are grouped by weight, and the velvets have their own bay because they require different handling.
Widths range from 54 inches all the way up to 118 inches (that's 300cm for the metric-minded). The 110-inch and 118-inch widths are what most contractors want for floor-to-ceiling installations in newer condos — places like Sunway Serene, Tropicana Gardens, or the Damansara Perdana developments where ceiling heights hit 2.85 metres or higher.
Most suppliers won't tell you this, but buying the wrong width is the single most expensive mistake in curtain making. A fabric that comes in 54-inch width will need a seam join for any window wider than about 130cm after accounting for fullness ratio. That join shows. Especially on plain fabrics. And you've just wasted cutting and the tukang jahit's time. Always check the available width before you fall in love with a colour.

Typically 45 to 50 metres per roll. Custom colourways or speciality textures might need a 2–3 week lead time if we're pulling from the mill, but most bread-and-butter fabrics are here.
And the pricing is straightforward. Retail walk-in rates for curtain fabric in PJ generally run from RM8 to RM15 per metre for basic sheers, RM18 to RM45 for mid-range dimouts and blackouts, and RM50 upward for premium linens and velvets. Wholesale pricing kicks in at MOQ 50 metres per colourway — that's where you see real savings. We don't play the "mark up high, then discount big" game that some kedai kain along Jalan TAR do.
But here's the thing most fabric suppliers in Selangor won't admit: price per metre alone is meaningless without knowing the width. A fabric at RM12/metre in 300cm width gives you far more coverage than one at RM10/metre in 137cm width. Do the maths per square metre and the "cheaper" fabric often costs more. Free swatches for up to 6 fabrics per visit. Small cuttings, roughly 10cm by 10cm — enough to check the colour against your wall paint or flooring. If you need bigger pieces (A4-size or larger for client presentations), there's a cutting charge of RM3 to RM5 per piece.
Trade customers — contractors and ID firms — can borrow sample books on loan. We have 43 active sample books across all categories. Leave your business card, take the book for up to 2 weeks, return it when you're done. Simple.
Stock runs low before Hari Raya. Every year, same pattern. Contractors rush to finish residential projects before Syawal, which means our popular colourways — especially beiges and off-whites in blackout — get cleaned out by mid-Ramadan. If you have a Raya deadline, come in early.
CNY is similar but for different fabrics. Red and maroon velvets, gold-toned jacquards — these spike in demand around November and December. Lead time during Chinese New Year itself stretches to 4–5 weeks because the mills in China shut down. Container delays from Ningbo and Shanghai ports don't help either.
Best time to visit for the widest selection? January through March, and again July through September. The showroom is fully stocked, the staff aren't rushed, and you'll get proper attention for your project.
